Costa Rica Adventure Day 1

Managed to leave the UK without any hitches, thankfully the predicted snow didn't materialize and we made Heathrow within a hour or so. After a hearty breakfast we caught our Delta flight to Atlanta. The flight was nearly a third full so it was very relaxed and we had some good banter with the stewards! Nine and half hours later we arrived in Atlanta where we had a 4 hour layover. We stretched our legs and had an excellent Chinese based meal of noodles, veg and for the meat lovers excellent spicy beef and black pepper chicken! Suitably replenished we caught our next flight to San Jose which was 3 and half hours, arriving local time of 20.50 hers - which meant it was ten to three in the morning UK time and just about 24 hrs since we left out beds at home!

Now in our hotel awaiting George who is coming from New York and is about an hour behind us arriving. Tomorrow we have an early transfer from the hotel to start our adventure - time for some sleep I think!
