After another flight we arrived at Kunming, in Yunnan. After meeting the local guide we headed straight to The Stone Forest. This area is home to the Sami people who dress in brightly coloured clothing with embroidered headdresses. They act as guides in the Stone Forest. This is an amazing area of limestone pillars through which winds paths that meander around the weird formations.
The actual park where these pillars exist is vast, but the public are only admitted to a small section of it. Having said that it still took us the best part of two hours to walk around a small part of it. The formations have wonderful names such as "Ode to Plum Blossom" and " Wife Waiting for Husband".
After a very pleasant, but hot experience, we headed back to Kunming and visited a tea tasting shop. Here we sampled several types of tea and of course we had the opportunity to purchase whatever we tasted!
